LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Long John Silver's unveiled its new worldwide corporate headquarters in Louisville on Thursday. About 70 workers will be employed there, and the company says it amounts to a $3.8 million investment.
Governor Steve Beshear said in a news release, "This is a testament to Kentucky's ability to compete in the global marketplace."
And Lt. Governor Jerry Abramson said, "Long John Silver's is one of Kentucky's greatest business success stories, and I'm thrilled the state's economic development efforts could help this historic company remain in Louisville."
LJS Partners acquired Long John Silver's from Louisville-based Yum Brands back in December. Yum sold off that company and A&W Restaurants. A&W relocated to Lexington, Ky.
The state has approved tax incentives up to $1.5 million for the company.
