Louisville native, former church worker sentenced to 25 years in Missouri for child molestation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville native and former church employee was sentenced to 25 years in prison for child molestation in Missouri on Monday, according to Ed Magee, an executive assistant with the St. Louis County Prosecutor's Office.

Magee told WDRB News that Brandon Milburn, 28, pleaded guilty to seven counts of statutory first degree sodomy in St. Louis County on January 26 of this year.

Milburn was arrested in Feb. 2014 in St. Louis County, Missouri, according Magee.

According to a press release from Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP), Milburn returned to Louisville in December 2007 after graduating from college. It also says he was hired by Southeast Christian Church as an atmosphere and media tech, and worked at the church from Oct. 2008 to April 2009.

Milburn is serving his sentence at the Missouri Department of Corrections.
