LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new clear bag policy is being implemented at all Louisville Parks and Recreation outdoor pools and waterparks.

Effective June 15, Louisville Parks and Recreation is implementing a clear bag policy for all outdoor pools and spray grounds, according to a post on its website, which states the policy is "designed to enhance safety by allowing security staff to inspect bags quickly and efficiently upon entry."

Under the guidelines, each guest is allowed to bring in one clear bag with belongings. Diaper and medical bags are permitted, but must be inspected before entry.

Small clutch purses are also allowed, but they cannot be larger than 6.5 inches x 4.5 inches.

Coolers are prohibited at any outdoor pool or waterpark facility.

There will be a one-week grace period for the clear bag policy. CLICK HERE to view and download a complete list of rules.
