The truck crashed into the officer's driver side and caused severe damage to both vehicles.
The officer was taken to UofL Hospital with serious injuries not considered to be life-threatening. The driver was also taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the pickup truck was stolen and the driver of the truck has been arrested.
