Louisville police say missing 47-year-old man found safe

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville police are asking for the public's help to find a 47-year-old man who was last seen Tuesday and may be in crisis.

An Endangered Missing Persons Alert was issued for John Cheney III. Police said he was last seen at 11:30 a.m. in the 4800 block of Red Dawn Drive.

According to police, he was wearing a red shirt, black shorts and a black baseball hat. His family is concerned that may need medical attention, police said.

Cheney also has access to a firearm, according to police. He is described as 6 feet, 4 inches tall and 250 pounds.

He may be driving a gray 2025 Ford F-350 with Kentucky license plate 4200JH and may be in Indiana.
