LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman is recovering after she said she was beaten by a man and grazed by a bullet when he shot her in the back of the head.
Louisville Metro Police said Thursday a woman was grazed around 11:35 a.m. in the 3300 block of Utah Avenue, just south of 7th Street Road.
Kaniah Vinson said she knows the suspect, but no one has been charged, and LMPD said its Domestic Violence Unit is investigating the case.
Vinson said after she was beaten and shot, she was able to make it to her room. She grabbed a gun and fired through the door, and the suspect took off running.
When police arrived, they found Vinson injured. She was taken to the hospital.
