LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â Louisville's second cat cafe opened in the Highlands on Wednesday.
Lucky Cat Cafe and Lounge is partnering with Shamrock Pet Foundation and Louisville Metro Animal Services.Â
The cat cafe is a temporary home for more than a dozen adult cats until they can find a permanent home. It's a not-for-profit organization. Customers can pay $10 to reserve an hour with the cats.
"People can come and have coffee or tea, and we have some brownies and cookies and things, and they can take the food if they wish and go in and sit down and pet cats in a very quiet and tranquil space, and cats come over and rub on you and purr," said Karla Spencer, the Lucky Cat Cafe and Lounge chief "feline officer."
All the cats are ready for adoption.
The cafe is located at 2230 Dundee Road.
