LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky man facing charges tied to two fatal overdoses is asking the court for more time before his case goes to trial.
Attorneys representing Brian Epperson filed a motion seeking a delay of at least three months, saying the investigation involves a large amount of evidence that still needs to be reviewed.Â
Epperson has entered not guilty pleas in connection with the deaths of Kristen Morris and Reacheal Dawson in 2025.
Investigators said Dawson was discovered inside a motel room that had been rented in Epperson’s name after she was reported missing.
In a separate incident, police said Morris was found dead inside a short-term rental. Authorities later reported finding similar capsules in a vehicle connected to Epperson, which they believe links the two cases.
Court filings also indicate attorneys are exploring the possibility of resolving the case through a plea agreement.
The judge has not yet decided whether to grant the request for a trial delay.
