LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died after losing control of his truck on snowy roads in Nelson County.
The crash happened Tuesday morning on New Haven Road near the Nelson County fairgrounds. The Nelson County Sheriff's Office said Nicholas Whittington, of Hodgenville, was traveling south on New Haven when he lost control of his truck in the snow and crossed the center line.
Investigators said he hit another truck head-on. Whittington was trapped in the crash until firefighters rescued him. He died later at the hospital.
The driver of the other truck was taken to a hospital for neck and back pain. Officials said Whittington's truck had little to no tread on his tires.
