LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on the Watterson Expressway early Tuesday morning.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said police responded to a crash around 2 a.m. on the Watterson Expressway at Interstate 65.
The man was traveling eastbound on the Watterson (I-264) and exited onto the entrance ramp going towards Interstate 65 southbound.
For an unknown reason, the man failed to make the curve on the ramp and lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and he was ejected from the vehicle, according to Ellis.
EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Ellis.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.
