LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is in critical condition after crashing his motorcycle into a vehicle on Interstate 265 at Interstate 65.

Dwight Mitchell, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded on a report of a crash at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

Officers said a motorcyclist rear ended a vehicle that had suddenly stopped on the ramp to I-65.

The motorcyclist was separated from his bike and taken to UofL Hospital in critical condition but he's stable, police said.

According to police, all parties remained on scene and there were no other injuries.

LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating. Traffic was blocked for hours due to the incident.
