LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Several fire crews from Southern Indiana are battling a small brush fire in Borden, Indiana.

According to Gaven Hebner, Director of Clark County Emergency Management, a passerby called in the report of a fire about 5:19 p.m. on Thursday near Top of the Rock Road and State Road 60. Borden Wood Township Fire Department responded.

Clark County Emergency Management arrived shortly after to deploy a drone. Hebner confirmed about one to two areas are on fire, "outside from the original fire line."

Just last weekend, multiple crews were out near the same scene battling a fire, which took several crews several hours to put it out.

Hebner said this fire burning on Thursday is likely a spot fire, that possibly "a tree or ember crossed the fire line and ignited leaves and underbrush outside of the fire line."

Tri-Township Fire and Rescue said in a Facebook post Thursday night that a total of six local agencies are on the scene.

Tri-Township Fire and Rescue said no injuries or evacuations have been reported in this latest fire.
