LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — DirecTV said it has less than a month to remove a satellite that could explode.
The California-based company told the Federal Communications Commission that the satellite's battery was damaged and, if it does blow up, could take out other satellites nearby.
The FCC has given DirecTV 30 days to take the satellite out of orbit. DirecTV wants to decommission the satellite before the spring eclipse on Feb. 25.
