New dance club opens on Bardstown Road in the Highlands

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new club is now open in the Highlands promising a unique experience.

The new club, called Atomic, is on Bardstown Road, near Grinstead Drive in the old Wash-o-Rama building.

Owners of Atomic said the original plan was for a hotel back in 2016 but COVID-19 ruined those plans. Now, they said this club will have a vibe like you'd find across the pond.

"So being a sound club, it's kind of an ode to the DJ dance halls in Europe, so this will be a platform for all of us to have a creative space to do album listening parties and creative things," Ryan Cox, Entertainment Director at Atomic, said.

The club also has a patio, gameyard, and will feature rotating DJs.
