LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new recycling collection center is now open in Zoneton.Â
The Zoneton Fire Protection District has a new recycling station trailer in place at its Station One. Items that will be accepted include metal, paper, plastics, cardboard, lead acid batteries and aluminum.Â
There is no charge for dropping off items. The trailer is located at the Zoneton Fire Station One on Preston Highway, near Little Flock Church.
Fire officials said it "seems to be quite popular" as a full trailer was hauled off Thursday morning.
Officials said the free service is being provided by Bullitt County Government.Â
