LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The City of New Albany made an update to the billing system of the Municipal Utilities Department and believe it will be a benefit for customers.
New Albany's Mayor, Jeff Gahan, sent out a release today that stated the billing system would now accept debit and credit cards for payments.
But, there comes a small price to pay for the update.
Residents wishing to use the new service will be assessed a convenience fee of 3% for each card transaction and all fees will be a minimum of $3 for transactions less than $100.
Payments can also be made on the departments webpage or in person.
