LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Norton Hospital staff is having a baby boom.

Nine nurses and one physician with the Norton Labor and Delivery Unit are celebrating their own pregnancies.

Three of them just had babies and seven more are expecting between now and May.

On Thursday, each one showed off their babies, bellies and ultrasounds. All of them plan on having their babies at Norton Hospital.

"Labor and delivery we do babies all the time but its extra special when its your coworker and its extra special when you're going to deliver in your own hospital in your own department and you get to provide them the amazing care that we get to provide our community every single day," Emily Lyons, nurse manager for labor and delivery, said.

Caregivers at Norton Healthcare's two Norton Women's Care Birthing locations deliver more than 8,000 babies a year.
