LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Law enforcement officers have arrested a man who was identified through DNA officials say was left behind at a crime scene.
Police in Crittenden County arrested Louisville resident Brandon Jaggers, 33, after officials say he stole property from a Jefferson County residence, including several firearms.
Brandon Jaggers, 33, is accused of stealing the property from a home in Jefferson County on May 15, 2013, according to an official police warrant.
Official records say Jaggers dropped a cigarette while he was inside the residence. Investigators collected the cigarette and had it sent to a KSP lab for analysis. Authorities say Jaggers was "positively identified through DNA profile."
Police have charged Jaggers with one count of burglary. He is being held at the Crittenden County Detention Center.
