LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Old Forester is inviting you to raise a glass to their founder Tuesday.
The company produced a special small batch in honor of George Garvin Brown's birthday, which is September 2.
George Garvin Brown is probably best known for being the Brown in Brown-Forman.
The bourbon is being called Old Forester Birthday Bourbon and the 97 proof liquor will sell for almost $60 per bottle.
This is Old Forester's 13th limited edition release.
According to the company, Old Forester is the only bourbon still in existence that was produced before, during, and after Prohibition by its original distiller.
