LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A car accident in Scottsburg, Indiana is fatal with one person dead.

The accident happened around 2 this afternoon.

Indiana State Police say a Ford Windstar Van crossed the median while heading northbound on I-65.

After crossing the median, it went into the southbound lanes and ended up in the wooded area next to the highway.

The driver, Mary Lou Gustus, 71, of Paris, Tennessee was pronounced dead at the scene.
