LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Part of the stage rigging that collapsed during last summer's Indiana State Fair has been stolen.
Police say thieves stole coiled steel cables that were part of the rigging that collapsed, killing 7 people and injured dozens of others.
The wreckage is being stored at a warehouse in Indianapolis.
The warehouse's electrical wiring was also stripped.
Police think thieves likely were after the scrap metal to sell it.
An attorney for some of the victims says those cables could be evidence in pending lawsuits over the collapse.
