LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear announced that he is now an author.

The book is titled "Go and Do Likewise," and is described as a "compelling and insightful book that reclaims faith as a force for good in public life and rebukes those who use it to harm and discriminate."

In posts on his personal Facebook and X pages Tuesday evening — not his official Kentucky governor accounts — Beshear said "I'm excited to share something with y'all that I've been working on for a while. It's driven by my faith and values, and I believe it offers a pathway forward that can bring people together. I'll share here tomorrow — stay tuned."

Beshear's name gained national recognition when he made the shortlist of potential running mates for then-Vice President Kamala Harris' 2024 presidential campaign. He is currently serving his second term as Kentucky's governor, which ends in 2027.

The book is available for pre-order now and will release Sept. 22 this year.
