LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's not the College World Series, but Pleasure Ridge Park is just as proud of their high school baseball state championship.

Fans welcomed the team home just before noon Sunday.

The Panthers defeated Mercer 3 to 2 in extra innings Saturday night for the state championship .

It's the fifth state championship in baseball for PRP, but the first since 2008.

Coach Bill Miller is the winningest coach in state history with 1,115 victories.

He coached all five of the championship teams since assuming the role at PRP in 19-80.
