Rally for Recovery aims to provide resources and support for those struggling with addiction

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Helping those struggling with substance abuse, rain or shine.

The threat of wet weather didn't stop dozens of people from attending Kentucky's annual Rally for Recovery.

It's the 14th year for the event, held at the Muhammad Ali Center.

Some at the rally are sober, and some are still struggling with addiction.

Several speakers shared their stories of hope, inspiration and success.

The event brings all of these people together to show what resources and support services are available.

"We're here to bring awareness to recovery and what recovery looks like, and to show the community that recovery is possible," Tara Moseley, program manager for Young People in Recovery, said.

The event is held in September each year to celebrate National Recovery Month.
