LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Swedish manufacturer plans to open its first United States facility in southern Indiana.

The Lamiflex Group will open the location in Borden, Indiana, according to our partners at Louisville Business First. That's in Clark County.

The Sweden-based company is a world-leading supplier of transport packaging solutions.

Lamiflex will be located in the Borden Business Park, and manufacture a variety of plastic components.

"The town of Borden welcomes Lamiflex and the opportunity for engagement and employment in southern Indiana," Borden Town Council President Steve Williams said in a news release from One Southern Indiana, LBF reported. "... In all, we are proud to demonstrate Borden's attractiveness and how we support local manufacturing in our region."

The facility is expected to create 62 full-time jobs by 2027.

The state's Economic Development Corporation offered the company an investment up to $750,000 in incentive-based tax credits that are performance-based, which means the company can claim them once Indiana residents are hired.
