LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A serious crash shut down all lanes of Interstate 65 north blocked in Bullitt County Thursday afternoon. It has since reopened.Ā Ā
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the crash happened Thursday afternoon near the 117 mile marker, which is near East Fourth Street in Shepherdsville.Ā
Shepherdsville Police assistant chief Lt. Col. Mark Timperman tells WDRB that the accident started with a southbound semi on I-65 hitting a cable carrier and going into the northbound lanes.Ā
The cable barrier hit several cars in the northbound lane, and the semi jackknifed and partially flipped over a truck.Ā
Timperman said there were no serious injuries, but the driver of the semi was taken to the hospital.Ā
In addition to all northbound lanes, the left lane and left shoulder of I-65 south were also blocked.Ā
TRIMARC said the crash happened about 2:30 p.m. and involved three vehicles.Ā Ā
