LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A fire-damaged McDonald's on Bardstown Road is set to be demolished and rebuilt into a larger, modern restaurant next to Costco.
According to our partners at Louisville Business First, plans call for a 4,419-square-foot location to replace the existing building, which was heavily damaged in a fire last year.
The project will include updated parking, new drive-thru menu boards and refreshed signage.
Demolition of the current structure is expected to begin in mid-April, with an estimated cost of more than $828,000, LBF reported.
If construction stays on schedule, a new foundation could be underway by late July, with the restaurant expected to reopen by late October.
