LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man was arrested Thursday after police said he drove more than 100 mph on Interstate 64 as troopers tried to pull him over.
Gavin Lollar, 20, of Corydon, was taken into custody near the 105-mile marker in Harrison County.
Indiana State Police said a trooper was conducting a traffic stop on I-64 West near the 110-mile marker when he saw Lollar's Dodge Charger traveling 90 mph in a 70 mph zone. Police said the car also did not have a license plate.
The trooper tried to catch up and pull Lollar over, police said. Another trooper nearby also tried to stop him.
Lollar continued west, police said, weaving in and out of traffic and reaching speeds of more than 100 mph.
Police said Lollar eventually got off I-64 at the 105-mile marker and stopped at a traffic light. Troopers blocked his car and took him into custody.
Lollar was taken to the Harrison County Jail. He faces preliminary charges of criminal recklessness, reckless driving and aggressive driving.
