LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDRB/WKYT) — One person was killed and four others were injured after being shot Saturday afternoon at a park in Lexington.

According to Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers, the shooting took place at Charles Young Park. Saturday's event at the park was East End Day.

The four other people injured were a 4-year-old, a 14-year-old and two adults. All were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, Weathers said.

An emergency mobilization plan sent out by the city of Lexington declared a police staffing emergency at 7:24 p.m. All Third Shift officers were instructed to report for duty.

Weathers said there are no known suspects at this time.
