LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Southern Indiana firefighters worked hard to get multiple fires under control on Saturday.
Monroe Township firefighters dealt with fires near Henryville. Firefighters were called to a brush fire near Flatrock Estates and then had another larger fire in an area between Caney Road and Route 31.
Firefighters are asking people to avoid open burning because of dry conditions. They said wildfire risk is very high.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control by 8 p.m.
There are county burn bans in Orange, Washington, Scott and Jennings counties.Â
