LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana woman was killed in a two-car crash in Harrison County last week.
The sheriff's department said in a news release on Tuesday that deputies responded to the rear-end crash on Oct. 21 at 8:19 p.m. on Highway 64 in New Salisbury.
Once on scene, they found a Ford F-150 and a Mazda passenger car that had crashed.Â
The sheriff said the driver of the Ford was not injured. The driver of the Mazda, identified as Vicki Trowbridge, of New Salisbury, "sustained substantial injuries" from the crash.
Firefighters performed CPR on scene before transporting Trowbridge to Harrison County Hospital. She was then airlifted to UofL Hospital in downtown Louisville where she later died, the sheriff said.Â
The sheriff's office said the crash remains under investigation.
