LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man they say robbed a bank last week.
According to an arrest warrant, 53-year-old Tyrone Eugene Martin walked into the Stock Yards Bank on Dixie Highway, near Flintlock Drive, on Nov. 5. While there, he allegedly handed the teller a demand note that read, "I have a gun and today is a nice day to die. Put the money in the bag. No dye packs."
The teller placed the money in a bag given to her by Martin. That's when police say Martin took off with nearly $8,000 in cash.
The incident was allegedly captured on video surveillance -- and the local media ran news reports about the robbery, with still photos taken from the video.
Police say a witness eventually came forward and identified Martin.
Martin was arrested and charged with first degree robbery.
