LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- People can sign up for TSA PreCheck in Louisville starting on Monday.
The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport is hosting its second TSA PreCheck enrollment event from Monday, Nov. 6 to Friday, Nov. 17.
TSA PreCheck is for low-risk travelers, and makes the airport security process quicker by providing dedicated TSA PreCheck screening areas in more than 200 airports across the country. Also, travelers enrolled in the program don't have to remove shoes, jackets, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids and belts.
Appointments are highly encouraged and will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Saturdays and Sundays. There will be a limited number of walk-in appointments that will be accepted.
The enrollment area is located on the ticketing level, immediately across from Delta Air Lines ticket counter in the terminal. Appointments are strongly encouraged.
To sign-up, click here to fill out the online application. Select Louisville, KY - Pop-Up: SDF, 11/6-11/17 as the appointment location. An in-person interview will be required, and applicants should bring proof of identity, proof of citizenship, fingerprints and a photo.
After the in-person interview, applicants should receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) in three to five days. That KTN should be used when reserving all flights to get the TSA PreCheck benefits.
