LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Jefferson County Coroner's office identified the man who died Thursday morning after a crash on Dixie Highway in Pleasure Ridge Park.
The victim was 55-year-old George W Hill Jr., according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
Louisville Metro Police responded to the crash at Trent Avenue, near Wawa, around 7:42 a.m. Thursday, department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
Investigators with LMPD's Traffic Unit believe a pickup truck, driven by Hill, rear-ended a utility bucket truck while headed southbound on Dixie.
Mitchell said Hill was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where he died of his injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
