LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A jury has convicted a woman as part of unruly behavior that broke out by celebrating fans during the championship run by the University of Kentucky men's basketball team.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that Leitha Burton was fined $500 but avoided a jail sentence.

The 23-year-old Burton was on trial for charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place and second-degree disorderly conduct.

She was accused of throwing a beer bottle at Lexington police officers and refusing to leave an area near UK's campus on the night UK defeated Louisville in the Final Four.

The Lexington newspaper says Burton's case was the only district court trial among 91 cases stemming from celebrations for UK's basketball victories. Fayette County Attorney Larry Roberts says he thinks all other defendants pleaded guilty.
