The new shelter program provides temporary housing and support for youth between the ages of 10 and 17 who are experiencing homelessness or crisis situations.
Open Door Youth Services helps children and teens experiencing homelessness or crisis situations.Â
Last year, the shelter served about 130 kids, and thousands more with mental health services and sexual abuse education and prevention programs at area schools.
