LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A pedestrian in a wheelchair died in a hit-and-run on Preston Highway early Sunday morning.
Matthew Sanders, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to Preston Highway and Industrial Boulevard around 12:15 a.m. after reports of a pedestrian being struck.
Police said a vehicle hit a pedestrian in a wheelchair, who died at the scene.
Police said the driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene.
