Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life brought more than 400,000 people to the fairgrounds.

For perspective, that's more than twice as many people as our beloved Kentucky Derby. And it went flawlessly. How did this happen? A guy named Danny Wimmer, that's how.

We've got at least 10 more years of these festivals, and I think we should acknowledge Danny’s work with a statue of him at the fairgrounds.

Here's what our viewers had to say:

"It's totally Danny Wimmer that did the excellent job here, and he deserves all the credit."

"I think the entertainment thing is a great idea. My suggestion is to take 5% of the money accumulated from the entertainment industry and donate it to JCPS."

"Before we put up any new statues, why don't we get the old statues back that were taken away from us? Or how about putting up a statue for Wayne Hettinger, the producer of Thunder Over Louisville since 1989?"

"Nice that this brings so much money to Louisville, but why don't you put this in another side of town out of my backyard, into your backyard, and see how you like all the traffic, all the noise, all the people at all hours of the morning and night for four days, two weekends in a row, and see how you like it then."
