It started as an idea rattling around in Jude Redfield's head. The magic of Jude's Jingle Tree returns for its seventh year in just a couple of weeks. It's more than a holiday tradition. It's a beacon of pure goodness and a testament to the generosity of our community. The first year, it was just a single tree adorned with viewer-donated ornaments for Home of the Innocents. Along the way, we raised a few hundred dollars.

This tangible little spark of generosity has grown exponentially, shattering records every year. From raising nearly $105,000 just two years ago to an astounding $242,000 last year, the momentum is electric. It's no surprise that the halls of WDRB will buzz with holiday cheer thanks to the dedicated "elves" handling the hundreds of packages overflowing with ornaments and checks. The station becomes a hub of goodwill, as friends, viewers and advertisers stop by to share in the festive spirit.

This is a movement driven by people who yearn to help those who can't help themselves, and the Home of the Innocents is the perfect vessel for that compassion. As the excitement builds for another record-breaking season, Jude's Jingle Tree reminds us that some traditions are simply too good to contain.
