Louisvillian are scratching their heads and wondering why we're having so much road construction all at once.

I get why people are frustrated, but maybe we look at it a little differently. Our construction czars are giving us pain right now so we can be ready for the future. This is a responsible way to improve our infrastructure so we don't become as gridlocked and congested as Nashville.

Here's what our viewers had to say:

Yeah, I agree with what you're saying about the interstates needing the work and doing the work. What I'll never understand is, Bardstown Road, for example, busiest street in the city. They got it down to one lane in each direction. That is ludicrous!

When they doing construction, I think it will be best and more safer if they were to close down both lanes between ramps. That way you would have to detour. It will get done quicker and it will be safer.

The only bad part about it is by the time they get done with it, it's going to be outdated and they're going to have to do something else. They need to think about it before they start doing this and do it right.

How come it's all downtown and the East End? How come the Gene Snyder Freeway from Dixie Highway to 65 is not being worked on? Can you please explain that to me?

I think it is great that all these roads and highways are being worked on. If we could only widen Highway 44.
