The Jefferson County Board of Education has appointed a new member to the District 2 seat formerly held by Chris Kolb.
Kolb said he is resigning to become a teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools.
Two other people have filed to run for the District 2 seat.
The letter is addressed as, "an open letter to JCPS school and district leaders."
Sarah McIntosh, from District 7, and Joe Marshall, from District 4, will not run again.
The results of the audit were released Monday, a day before the Jefferson County Board of Education will vote to potentially cut transportation to thousands of students.
On Tuesday, the Jefferson County Public Schools Board of Education will vote on a plan that would eliminate transportation for more than 14,000 students.
JCPS has said eliminating transportation for magnet and traditional students is the only idea that would fix the problem of buses running hours late.
If Louisville's public school system cuts transportation for some students next year, families hope the district will have alternatives to help get kids to and from school.
