The council’s report revealed years of mismanagement under former President Christopher Brown including overspending and lack of attention to the school's budget. 

Kentucky State University is taking corrective actions to stabilize the school's finances after the resignation of its president last month.

President Christopher Brown resigned Tuesday amidst allegations of financial and other misconduct.

The school's Board of Regents accepted M. Christopher Brown II's resignation at a specially called meeting.
