As of Saturday, 1,859,277 people had received at least the first dose of a coronavirus vaccine. 

Anyone 16 or older is eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Kentucky.

Wednesday's update brings Kentucky to 6,485 coronavirus-related deaths reported since the start of the pandemic, according to the governor's office. 

More than 1.6 million Kentuckians have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, the governor’s office said.

According to the state's vaccination dashboard, 1,319,323 Kentuckians have received at least the first dose of a vaccine to date. 

The state's positivity rate, which measures the proportion of COVID-19 tests returning positive, dropped to 4.60% on Wednesday. 

At least 12,445 Kentuckians have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
