According to Louisville Metro Government Human Resources, there are 1,889 current openings across all departments. 

If office workers aren't vaccinated, they get tested each week. Dozens of employees get swabbed every Tuesday at a cost of $100 per person.

The wage freeze request came after Metro Council voted to cut the budget instead of raising the insurance premium tax to fill a $35 million budget hole caused primarily by rising pension costs.
