“We realize this is an inconvenience to many and this decision was not made lightly,” the district’s letter says. “… We will re-evaluate the situation as the week progresses. Please continue to check your emails for the latest updates.”
Students will transition to eLearning starting Tuesday, and the district announced on social media that the situation will be evaluated "as the week progresses."
The last day of school for students is May 21.
Gov. Eric Holcomb announced the decision to shutter schools on Thursday as part of the state's efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19.
