Officers were able to get each student, staff and faculty member out safely, but it took several hours for police to secure the area to do so.

Police say an Eminence suspect has been arrested after police say the suspect sexually abused a young teenager, then tried to keep the teen from getting away.

David Combs, 49, is charged with 12 counts of sodomy and three counts of sexual abuse

Police say the girls told reported it to the principal of Eminence High School, as well as the Eminence Police Department.

The man accused of killing his father-in-law and kidnapping his wife a day after he got out of jail made his first appearance in court Monday afternoon. 

Kentucky State Police said the boy was reported missing from his home in Eminence just before 10 p.m. Friday.
