State officials plan to launch a network of “regional centers” where people can apply for the credentials, which will be needed to board domestic flights next year unless a traveler has a passport.

The state now plans to launch ‘regional facilities’ for the enhanced driver’s licenses ahead of an October 2020 deadline, although that approach is not yet funded, Transportation Secretary Greg Thomas wrote in a letter obtained by WDRB News.
