Michael Munday underwent a 12 hour surgery in March 2022 to give him a new  heart and liver. 

Matthew Scott, from New Jersey, received a hand transplant from Kleinert and Kutz Hand Center in 1999 during a groundbreaking surgery.

Matthew Scott, who lost his left hand during a firecracker incident in 1985, became Kutz's patient in 1999. 

Kutz made history when he was part of the team that performed the first successful hand transplant in 1999.

Matthew Scott returns this week for his annual checkup to mark the milestone with surgeons in Louisville.
