USA Cares is a military veteran and family support system.

An elderly U.S. military veteran will be able to stay in his home thanks to the collaboration of Louisville-area organizations.

Homeless Louisville veterans will soon have a warm place to sleep, thanks to a group of University of Louisville students.

The city is one of four Indiana Housing authorities to receive more than $277,400 in total. Jeffersonville’s portion will equal $55,826, which will cover ten vouchers.

Groundbreaking is expected after the new year. 

The new expansion on West Market Street adds 200 beds -- but they are expected to fill up quickly.
