The closure allowed crews to address areas of I-65 impacted by recent semitruck crashes.

Starting at 8 p.m. Friday and continuing through 5 a.m. Monday, July 28, crews will close the left three lanes of the Kennedy Bridge.

Work to perform bridge joint replacements on I-65 at "Hospital Curve" was scheduled to begin Friday and continue through the weekend. There was also a planned closure of I-65 southbound, but it has now been postponed.
